The official install size of ARC Raiders on PC is not published on its Steam store page as of October 6, 2026. Both the Minimum and Recommended blocks list OS, processor, memory, graphics, DirectX version and network, but no storage line, so the most reliable number is the one your own Steam client shows. This guide covers the PC (Steam, Windows) version and separates what the official pages confirm from what they leave out. Planning where recorded video will go is a separate job from the install; for how that looks in another game, see the PUBG recording storage guide.
What each official page says about storage (checked October 6, 2026)
| Official page checked | What it shows about storage | Takeaway |
|---|---|---|
| Steam store page, Minimum requirements | Lists OS, processor, memory, graphics, DirectX version and network. There is no storage line. | No official minimum storage figure |
| Steam store page, Recommended requirements | Lists the same items only. There is no storage line. | No official recommended storage figure |
| Steam page for the Deluxe Edition upgrade | Described as DLC that requires the base game, with cosmetics and Raider Tokens. There is no storage line. | No stated extra size for the edition |
| arcraiders.com Server Slam page | A past event announcement that names Steam, Epic Games Store, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series as platforms; it gives no PC download or install size. | No PC download or install size given |
| Steam client update notes (library folders item) | Describe a library folders dialog for managing content across drives. They do not state any game install size. | Useful for choosing a drive, not for a size figure |
Bottom line: no official GB figure is published
This article does not put a gigabyte number on ARC Raiders, because none is printed on the pages we can cite. The Steam page does list memory at 12 GB minimum and 16 GB recommended, but that is RAM, not disk space, and the two should not be mixed up. Since a Storage line could be added later, reopen the System Requirements section of the store page before you install. If you plan to record once you are in the game, think about the video side early as well; how to reduce game recording file size is a good starting point.
How to read the real install size on your PC
- 1Recheck the store page for a storage line — Open the System Requirements section on the ARC Raiders page in the Steam store and look at both Minimum and Recommended for a storage line. As of October 6, 2026 there was none, so if one appears later, note the value together with the date you saw it.
- 2Look for disk usage info in your Steam library — After installing, open ARC Raiders in your Steam library and look in its properties for any disk-usage information your client shows. The exact menu path and wording in the current client were not confirmed on an official page, so no click-by-click route is given and no size is quoted here.
- 3Pick the drive before you install — Valve's Steam client update notes (a 2021 post) describe an improved library folders dialog for managing content across several drives. Decide which drive's library folder will hold the game, then check that drive's free space in Windows File Explorer. If Steam tells you the space needed at install time, use that value as your guide.
- 4Write down the value with its date — Record the size you read in your own client together with the day you checked, so you can compare when you look again. Gigabyte numbers from forums or third-party sites are not official values, so do not copy them in.
Disk space checklist before installing
- I rechecked the Steam store page for a storage line in System Requirements.
- I checked the free space of the drive I plan to install on in Windows File Explorer.
- I treated the RAM requirement and storage as two different items.
- I decided where recorded videos will be saved, separately from the game install.
- I noted the size I read, with the date.
Recording space is separate from the install
DOR is a free Windows app that records supported games automatically, and ARC Raiders is on that list with full-match auto recording saved as mp4. Automatic highlight clips are not available for this game, so what you keep is the whole match. Whatever the install ends up taking on your drive, the recorded mp4 files need their own room on top of it, which is worth deciding while you are choosing a drive. This article gives no file-size or bitrate numbers. Finished recordings collect in the app library, and on a PC with an NVIDIA graphics card the encoding step uses NVENC by default. See the ARC Raiders game hub for what DOR supports for this game, and ARC Raiders clipping software for how recording options compare.
Official sources (as of October 6, 2026)
This article draws on the system requirements on the ARC Raiders Steam store page, the platform list on the arcraiders.com Server Slam page (a past event announcement), and the library folders dialog item in the Steam client update notes (a 2021 post). A storage line may be added later, so check the store page again.
