Apex Legends has no officially published tier distribution for the current season, Season 30 Marked. The last time Respawn released percentages as text was the Season 6 Split 2 table dated October 21, 2020, and the last chart it released is the daily tier-distribution graphic for Seasons 25 and 26 in the November 26, 2025 matchmaking blog. The 'top X% in Diamond' figures you find in search results are almost always third-party estimates built from their own samples, so this article does not quote them. Instead, everything below is what the official documents confirm as of September 14, 2026: the last official distribution values, tier order and RP entry costs, the Road to Ranked requirement, the 2-rank premade rule, Split 2 reset values, how Season 30 ranked ladders run, and where to check your own rank. This article draws on three official text tables. The Series 2 announcement, with data as of September 10, 2019 (Bronze 5.1%, Silver 40.0%, Gold 35.7%, Platinum 16.8%, Diamond 2.1%, Apex Predator 0.2%); the Series 3 announcement, with data as of January 10, 2020 (Bronze 3.9%, Silver 29.1%, Gold 35.3%, Platinum 23.6%, Diamond 7.1%, Apex Predator 1.0%, which is the distribution Respawn cited when it created the Master tier); and the Season 6 Split 2 table dated October 21, 2020, shown in the right-hand column of the table below. All three count players with five or more hours in ranked. After that there is only the August 4, 2023 ranked dev blog, which showed the Season 17 Master surplus as a graph, and the November 26, 2025 matchmaking blog with stacked-bar charts for Seasons 25 and 26. The only values confirmed in text there are that Diamond reached about 20% of players near the end of Season 25 Split 2 and that the Season 26 Master population was one third of Season 25's. From Season 27 through Season 30 there is no official distribution in any form. So instead of trying to convert your tier into a percentile, track what actually moves RP: which tiers your lobbies contain and which matches you lose points in. The catch is that the official docs describe only two review tools, the Death Recap on death and the pre-match lobby distribution, and no full-match replay feature appears anywhere in them. Keeping a match means recording it, and as covered in how to clip Apex Legends, a recorder that starts on its own is the least effort.

Official ranked rules to confirm before a split (checked 2026-09-14)
- Entry: all three sets of Road to Ranked challenges must be complete. New players under Level 20 have to play Road to Ranked first (help.ea.com, updated 2026-08-07)
- Premades: every squad member must be within 2 ranks of each other or matchmaking fails. Bronze can queue with Rookie, Bronze, Silver and Gold, not with Platinum or above. Applies to Duos and Trios
- The Season 29 tests, 1-tier premade restrictions and Diamond+ solo-queue only, are still under analysis with no results blog yet; the live rule remains 2 ranks
- RP rules: an assist counts as a kill, kills beyond 8 are worth half, bonuses for beating higher tiers are +15% (1 tier), +25% (2), +35% (3), +50% (4 or more), and Top-5 streaks pay 10 RP at two through 40 RP at five or more. Heals and revives give no RP
- Entry cost refund: finish in the top half and the entry RP comes back; otherwise you can end below where you started (Diamond 65 RP, Master and Predator 90 RP)
- Resets: twice per season, at season start and at Split 2. Season start places you by ranked MMR; Split 2 is a partial reset with +250 demotion protection at Silver, Gold and Platinum IV
- Season rewards: based on the highest tier reached in either split, granted at the next season start. Reaching the same tier again in Split 2 earns the animated badge
- Platforms: PC, PlayStation, Xbox and Switch ranks are separate, and the 750 Apex Predator slots are counted per platform
- Recording: before the first match, confirm game audio and your mic are both captured so full ranked matches save automatically
How to check your rank, RP and lobby distribution, then keep the match
- 1Read the rank distribution in the pre-match lobby — The help.ea.com ranked article says you can see how the tiers in your upcoming match are distributed before it starts. Matchmaking uses current RP and a premade is matched on its highest-RP member, so if the lobby skews above your tier, your squad composition is the likely reason. The document does not name the lobby tab, so confirm the screen label in game.
- 2Open the Compete tab for Ranked Ladders and your placement — Ranked Ladders place you automatically on a leaderboard of up to 100 players by hidden skill and are viewed from the Compete tab. Your score is the sum of your five highest-RP ranked matches, you need at least five ranked matches, and cross-play must be on. Rewards split into Tier 1 for the top 10%, Tier 2 for 10 to 30%, Tier 3 for 30 to 50% and Tier 4 for the rest. Season 30 Marked extended ladders to five days, and all five Split 1 ladders (August 11 to September 13) had ended by publication.
- 3Compare with the EA Player Stats page — Signing in with your EA account opens the official Player Stats page with a per-season recap. Its footnote warns that the numbers may vary slightly from in-game stats, so treat the in-game value as the source of truth. Ranked progress is tracked separately per platform, so PC and console records are read separately.
- 4Check EA news for the Split 2 patch notes — The September 10 midseason designer's notes said the full Marked Split 2 patch notes would go up on September 14. They were not yet posted when this was written, so confirm the Split 2 start date and ladder schedule from Ladder 6 onward on the EA news page. The Split 2 reset is partial: Diamond IV and III drop to Platinum III at 9250 RP, Diamond II and I to Platinum II at 10000 RP, and Master or above to Platinum I at 11000 RP.
- 5Record every full match from day one of the reset — Right after a reset the skill spread inside a tier is at its widest, which makes it the best window to see where you bleed RP. Apex has no documented replay, so on a Windows PC leave a free recorder running to capture ranked matches automatically, then pick the losses, cut the problem stretch in a browser clip editor and share it with your squad.
Recording setup before the ranked split: auto-detect and full-match capture for Apex
A distribution table does nothing for your rank if you have no matches to review.
