Every time a Worlds wraps up, the next search is the same: where is Worlds next year? For 2027 the country is settled. League of Legends Worlds 2027 will be held in South Korea.
What is not settled yet is the city and the arena. This guide separates three things: what Riot Games and the Korea e-Sports Association (KeSPA) have officially said, what esports outlets reported from KeSPA's host city bid documents, and what nobody has announced yet.
Everything here reflects what could be confirmed as of November 3, 2026. Dates and seat counts from the bid documents are marked as tentative, and ticket prices or sale dates are not guessed.
If you are thinking about flying to Korea for the event, the checklist further down covers what to look for the moment the host city is announced. If you play League yourself, the League of Legends hub and the last section show how to keep your own games on video while you wait. This page will be rewritten around the official host city announcement once it is out.

Where Is Worlds 2027? How the Host City Is Chosen and Where Korea Hosted Before
Korea was named as the Worlds 2027 host in January 2025, when Riot Games announced its international event locations through 2027. The same plan put MSI 2026 in Korea, Worlds 2026 in North America, First Stand 2027 in Southeast Asia and MSI 2027 in Europe. Picking the city is KeSPA's job.
Together with Riot Games, it invited local governments to send letters of intent for the knockout stage (quarterfinals, semifinals and final) between March 9 and 6 PM KST on April 5, 2026, then planned to review full proposals and choose the final host city in August 2026.
Cities could pitch either one venue for the quarterfinals and semifinals plus a separate final venue, or a single venue for everything from the quarterfinals on. That means the final may end up in a different city from the earlier knockout rounds, so check both when the news drops.
For context, here is how Korea split things up before. In 2014 the quarterfinals were at BEXCO in Busan, the semifinals at the Olympic Gymnastics Arena in Seoul and the final at Seoul World Cup Stadium, where Samsung White won the title.
In 2018 the quarterfinals were at BEXCO in Busan, the semifinals in Gwangju and the final at Incheon Munhak Stadium, where Invictus Gaming beat Fnatic 3-0.
In 2023 Busan's Sajik Arena hosted the quarterfinals and semifinals and Seoul's Gocheok Sky Dome hosted the final, where T1 beat Weibo Gaming 3-0. A city that hosted before is not guaranteed to host again, so treat any city rumor as unconfirmed until Riot Games or KeSPA posts it.
How to Catch the Worlds 2027 Host City and Ticket Announcements
- 1Follow the official channelsHost city and ticket news will come from the official LoL Esports site and social accounts, the LCK's official channels and KeSPA notices. Treat 'confirmed' city claims on forums or social media as rumors until one of those posts it.
- 2Check the knockout venues and the final separatelyBecause the bid allowed two setups, the final may be in a different city from the quarterfinals and semifinals. Decide which matches you want to see first, then plan hotels and travel around that city.
- 3Use arena size to gauge ticket demandThe reported minimums are 10,000 fans for the final and 5,000 seats for the quarterfinals and semifinals. If an indoor arena with limited seats is picked, competition for tickets can be tough, so set a reminder as soon as the on sale time is posted.
- 4Prepare a ticketing account earlyWhen the seller and on sale date are posted, create your account and finish any identity checks in advance, and read the notice for any extra steps for overseas buyers. Trust only the prices and per person limits in the official notice, and skip resale outside the official seller because of scam risk.
- 5Book travel only after dates are finalNovember 14, 2027 is still a tentative final date. If you book a hotel in Korea before the schedule is confirmed, pick a refundable rate so a date change does not cost you.
What to Check When the Host City Is Announced
- Which city and arena host the quarterfinals, the semifinals and the final
- Whether the final is still Sunday, November 14, 2027, or has moved
- Ticket on sale date, the official seller and how many tickets one person can buy
- Where the play-in and Swiss stage will be played and whether fans can attend
- Location and dates of the fan fest and any other events outside the arena
While You Wait for Worlds 2027: Record Your Own Ranked Games and Compare Them With the Pros
While you wait for Worlds 2027, the most useful thing you can do is keep your own games on video. DOR is a free Windows app. When you launch League, it detects the game and records the whole match automatically, and it saves kills, multikills and objectives as separate highlight clips in My Clips.
It also records when you play a .rofl replay in the client, so a game where you tried a pro style rotation can be rewatched later as a video. For a routine built on recorded games, read how to get better at League of Legends, and for saving only the big moments, see how to save a LoL pentakill clip.
In the app you can cut a moment in 16:9, 9:16 or 1:1 and save it, and DOR Studio (dor.gg/studio) can share it as a dor.gg link that your friends can play right in a phone browser.
