EA SPORTS FC™ 26 on PC lists 100 GB of required storage for both the minimum and recommended tiers, and the minimum graphics card is a GTX 1050 Ti or RX 570 paired with 8 GB of RAM. As checked on October 6, 2026, the Steam store page and EA's own material agree on every value, and this article covers PC only. If you also plan to record while you play, read the recording-focused recommended specs guide afterwards.

The short verdict and how to judge it
Three judgments matter. First, required storage is 100 GB for both tiers, and the minimum hinges on 8 GB RAM plus an RX 570 or GTX 1050 Ti. Second, EA's Pitch Notes frame the minimum as 720p at 60 FPS on Low and the recommended tier as 1080p at 60 FPS on Medium; those are the publisher's reference targets, not frame rates measured on your machine. Third, EA's current system requirements help page has already switched to FC 27, so every FC 26 value here comes only from the FC 26 pages on EA and Steam. Even if every part qualifies, a drive with less than 100 GB free can stall the install, and if you also need room for recorded files on top of the game itself, the guide to reducing game recording file size is worth a read.
How to check your own PC
- 1Open dxdiag — Type dxdiag into the taskbar search box and pick dxdiag from the results. If the first launch asks whether to check driver digital signatures, Microsoft's guidance recommends answering Yes.
- 2Read three values on the System tab — On the System tab of the DirectX Diagnostic Tool, note the processor, the memory and the DirectX version shown under System Information, then compare each one with its row in the table above.
- 3Confirm the graphics card on the Display tab — The Display tab shows your graphics card name. Choosing 'Save All Information...' stores the results in a file, which is handy when you want to compare against the table again or ask someone for help.
- 4Look at free space on the install drive — Make sure the drive you will install to has at least 100 GB free. That figure is the official required storage; no separate official number for the size after installation was found.
- 5Read the extra notes on the Steam page — The Steam requirements list mentions EA app installation and background use, Denuvo Anti-tamper and EA Javelin Anticheat. Secure Boot and TPM are not mentioned in the Steam or EA spec tables, so check EA's Secure Boot help article to see whether this game is covered.
Pre-install checklist
- You run 64-bit Windows 10 or 11 with the latest updates installed
- You compared your processor with the table and it matches at least a Ryzen 5 1600 or Core i5 6600k
- RAM is 8 GB or more (12 GB for the recommended tier) and your VRAM was compared with the 4 GB and 6 GB figures
- The DirectX version on the dxdiag System tab reads 12
- The install drive has 100 GB free, and you have the broadband connection Steam lists under the minimum requirements
- You know that Steam says Javelin needs manual removal after uninstall while EA Pitch Notes says it is removed automatically with the game
If you want to record FC 26
DOR lists EA SPORTS FC 26 as a supported game, and for this title it covers automatic full-match recording saved as mp4. The 100 GB in the table is what the game itself asks for, so the room your recorded files will occupy has to be planned separately. On a PC with an NVIDIA graphics card, DOR uses NVENC hardware encoding by default. Game audio and your microphone can be captured together, so in-match chatter ends up in the same file, but the table describes running the game alone, so leave extra headroom if recording is part of your plan. You can find game-specific notes on the FC 26 game hub and a comparison of encoder choices in NVENC vs x264.
Official sources checked
The spec values come from the system requirements on the EA SPORTS FC 26 Steam store page and the EA Pitch Notes FC 26 PC deep dive (VRAM, reference presets and the Javelin description), and the dxdiag steps come from Microsoft's support article. All were checked on October 6, 2026, and EA's FC 26 system requirements page shows the same values as Steam. Specs can change with updates, so confirm them again at the links before installing.
