AION Classic is where players gather to relive the feel of early AION. As your character grows, memorable moments pile up stage by stage: the day you first spread your wings and took off, the day your party pushed through its first instance, and the day you entered the Abyss and ran into the other faction for the first time. AION Classic became a DOR full-session recording game in the October 2026 app update. When you launch AION Classic on a Windows PC, DOR detects it and saves everything from launch to exit as one video. This guide covers organizing those recordings by growth stage and sharing fortress sieges where Elyos and Asmodians collide with your Legion.
Decide whether to keep the voice comms with your siege
In a fortress siege or an Abyss fight, your Legion's calls are as memorable as what is on screen. DOR records game sound and your mic together, so if you fought while calling on voice, those voices end up in the video. That is great for a Legion record, but before sending it to outside friends, listen through for private conversation. For general ways to balance game sound and mic, see how to record game sound and mic together.
Sharing AION Classic recordings with your Legion
- 1Check AION Classic recordingIn DOR settings, look in the full-session recording group and confirm AION Classic is on. When it is, recording begins the moment you launch the game on PC and continues until you exit.
- 2Log the days your stage changedWrite down the date and rough time when you hit a new stage, like a first instance or first Abyss trip. You only need to open that day's recording in the library, which saves a lot of searching when you build a growth video weeks later.
- 3Use loading screens and altitude changes to find momentsInstances and the Abyss have loading screens when you travel, so skimming the playback bar reveals the boundaries. For flight scenes, use the moment your character spreads its wings and lifts off the ground as your anchor.
- 4Include the calls in siege clipsWhen trimming a siege, start a few seconds before the fight at the point where the first call is heard. With both the picture and the voices, Legion members can easily relive how the day went.
- 5Merge stage clips into a growth recordCombine the clips you trimmed at each stage in order in DOR Studio in your browser, and put text such as first flight or first siege before each scene to make one character's growth record.
- 6Paste the link in Legion chatPaste the dor.gg link for the finished video into Legion chat or a group messenger. Legion members watch it in a browser without installing an app, which makes it easy for people who were in the same siege to pass scenes around.

| First Abyss trip | Your first encounter with the opposing faction | Right after the loading screen into the Abyss |
| Fortress siege | Elyos and Asmodians clashing over a fortress | The stretch where fighting piles up after the Legion musters |
| Legion activity | Traveling or gathering with Legion members | Around the time a Legion chat notice went out |
| After max level | Returning to the same place to compare | When you arrive in the same area seen in your early recordings |

How DOR records AION Classic
DOR is a free Windows desktop app. When you launch AION Classic, it detects the game and records until you close it as one mp4 video, with no automatic highlights that cut out sieges or Abyss fights. You find the moments you want in the app library, cut them with trim, pick 16:9, 9:16 or 1:1, and share them as a dor.gg link. For setting precise start and end points, see how to trim game clips, and to combine stage clips into one growth record, see how to merge game clips. Long sessions fill the disk quickly, and on days you do not need it, you can turn AION Classic recording off on its own in settings, with a confirmation window shown once.
