When your clan takes a castle in Lineage, or a scroll you hesitated over finally succeeds, one video tells your clanmates far more than any description. Lineage is a PC MMORPG run by NC, and clans and sieges are so central that the official site's main page shows siege results by clan. The October 7, 2026 update added a new class, Wolyeongsa, and a new specialized server, Abela. With the October 2026 app update, Lineage became a DOR 'Full-play recording' game: launch it and DOR detects it automatically and saves everything from launch to exit as one video. This guide covers how to pick the scenes worth sharing with your clan out of that long recording.
Record siege days and plain hunting days differently
In Lineage you often stay in a hunting ground for hours, so leaving recording on all the time fills your disk quickly. Keep it on for days with something certain to save, like a siege or a clan boss hunt, and switch Lineage's Full-play recording off in settings on days of ordinary hunting to save space. If recording was on but no file was left, check your save path and disk space first and follow the order in how to fix recordings not saving.
Picking scenes from a Lineage recording and sending them to your clan
- 1On siege days, check recording and disk firstIn DOR settings, confirm Lineage is on under 'Full-play recording' and that you have comfortably more than 20GB free. Then launch Lineage on your Windows PC; automatic detection starts recording, and it continues as one video until you close the game.
- 2Use the siege start time as your anchorSieges start at a set time, so working out the gap between when your recording began and when the siege started tells you roughly where the siege sits in the recording. Play from that point and look for your clan pushing through the gate or in front of the guardian tower.
- 3Note the time before you use an enchant scrollAn enchant is decided in seconds, which makes it the hardest thing to find later in a long hunting recording. Jot down the time right before you use the scroll, and you can trim just 10 to 15 seconds from there through the result, success or failure.
- 4Go wide for sieges and tight for enchantsSieges pack many players onto one screen, so 16:9 shows the whole situation at a glance. Enchants only need the item window, so a 9:16 or 1:1 cut makes it look big in a phone messenger.
- 5String siege highlights together scene by sceneA siege breaks into a few scenes, such as breaking the gate, fighting at the guardian tower and the result. Trim each one, merge them in DOR Studio in your browser, and add the scene names and date as text to make a clan record video.
- 6Paste the link into your clan chatThe finished video can be shared as a dor.gg link. Paste it into your clan group chat or Discord channel, and clanmates can rewatch the siege right in a phone browser without installing an app.
Lineage scenes by clan activity, and who to send them to
| Clan activity | How to find it in the recording | Who gets it, and how long |
|---|---|---|
| Castle siege | Scan around the siege start time for fights at the gate or guardian tower | Whole clan chat, 1-3 minutes |
| Field PK | Where hunting suddenly turns into combat and HP drops fast | Clanmates you were hunting with, 20-40 seconds |
| Clan boss hunt | Clanmates gathered on one screen around the boss | Clanmates who joined, about 1 minute with the kill |
| Enchant result | The time you noted just before using the scroll | A close clanmate or friend, 10-15 seconds |
| Rare item drop | Picking up the item as chat lights up | Clan chat, 10 seconds either side |
| First hunt with a new class | Entering a hunting ground as Wolyeongsa for the first time | A friend thinking about coming back, 30-60 seconds |
Check before you send
- Lineage is switched on under 'Full-play recording' in settings.
- You noted both the siege start time and when recording began.
- The enchant clip includes using the scroll and the result.
- Siege clips are 16:9, and enchant clips are 9:16 or 1:1.
- For videos going outside the clan, you checked that chat text is not prominent.
- You have comfortably more than 20GB of free disk space.
How DOR records Lineage
DOR is a free Windows desktop app. When you launch Lineage, it detects the game automatically and records until you close it as one mp4 video; it does not cut sieges or enchants into automatic highlights. You find the scenes yourself in the app library and trim them, and choosing 16:9, 9:16 or 1:1 creates a dor.gg link. Tips for setting start and end points are in how to trim game clips. To bundle several siege scenes into one piece, use DOR Studio, which opens in your browser with no install, for merging, text and background music; for joining scenes smoothly, see how to merge multiple game clips. Game sound and microphone are recorded together, so the calls you shouted during the siege stay in the video. On days you do not want to record, you can switch off just Lineage under 'Full-play recording' in settings, and a confirmation prompt appears when you do.
