DONT SPLASH Roblox Guide (2026): The One Rule, the New Farm Map, Tools and Upgrades, and Recording Your Runs

Official thumbnail of the Roblox experience DONT SPLASH: in an indoor pool lined with white tiled pillars and blue tile bands, a dark monster with a round ringed head, long arms and hooked claws bursts up out of the water in a spray of splashes, while on the tiled pool edge to the right a frightened avatar with orange hair, a black jacket and a blue shirt holds out a flare pouring red smoke toward it.

Key takeaways
  • DONT SPLASH is a Roblox horror experience published by the Bacon Theory group and created on October 17, 2026. On the evening of November 3 (UTC) it had about 70,000 players online and more than 168 million visits, and it ranked first in Top Trending worldwide, in the US and in the UK.
  • The rule is the name. The description says DONT SPLASH, IT KNOWS, and the October 31 event post calls it the only rule. Runs pay out cash, and the game pass descriptions list six upgrades with three levels each: Rope Reach, Pebble Skipping, Throwing Range, Rescue Speed, Flare Radius and Toy Battery.
  • A farm map with new stages arrived on October 31, the Fall Pack's free self-revive runs until November 14, and the next update event is set for November 7. On PC, DOR records each session from join to leave so you can trim the scare later.

DONT SPLASH asks one thing of you, and it is right there in the title: do not splash the water. The official description is three short lines. It reads DONT SPLASH V2, then DONT SPLASH, IT KNOWS, and then says the game is inspired by the eerie atmosphere of the Poolrooms and House of the Locust.

If you know the Backrooms, the Poolrooms will feel familiar: endless tiled pools under flat light with nobody else around. The official thumbnails fill in the rest.

A long-limbed creature bursts out of the water while a player on the pool edge holds up a red flare, another player stands on a submerged tile block with ripples spreading around them, and a third image shows someone hauling a friend out of the water with a rope.

The experience is published by the Bacon Theory group, was created on October 17, 2026 and was last updated on October 31. Roblox files it under Obby & Platformer, Runner, with up to 10 players per server, and its content maturity label is Minimal, with occasional mild fear and violence.

We checked the official Roblox charts on PC on November 3, 2026, between 12:00 and 13:00 UTC. It had about 70,000 people playing, more than 168 million visits, about 469,000 favorites and a like ratio of about 87 percent.

It ranked first in Top Trending worldwide, in the United States and in the United Kingdom, and second in US Up-and-Coming.

Search results are crowded with similar names, so this guide starts with how to find the right one and sticks to what the official page, the update events and the game pass descriptions confirm.

The short version: the rule, how runs pay out, and what changed on October 31

Three things are worth knowing before your first run. The first is the rule. The description says only that it knows, and the October 31 event post repeats that there is only one rule: don't splash.

Nothing official spells out which movements count as a splash, so treat your first run as a listening session: keep game sound on, take your time, and watch which movements send spray up around your feet. The second is the loop.

The 2x Cash game pass doubles cash earned in runs, so every run pays out, and the pass descriptions list six upgrades with three levels each: Rope Reach, Pebble Skipping, Throwing Range, Rescue Speed, Flare Radius and Toy Battery.

Two more passes add a fourth and a fifth tool slot to your loadout, and Rescue Rope is a permanent rope you can reuse. A rescue rope, a separate Rescue Speed upgrade and an official thumbnail of a rope rescue all show that helping teammates is part of the game. The third is timing.

The October 31 update added a brand new farm map with multiple new stages, pumpkins to collect and new equipment to unlock.

The Halloween Pack stopped selling when October ended, and the Fall Pack that replaced it lists double cash and a free self-revive every run until November 14, plus a permanent Leaf Trail and Raven Aura. A second event called NEXT UPDATE! is scheduled for November 7 at 3 p.m.

GMT (10 a.m. ET, 7 a.m. PT), and its description is still just three question marks.

Small splashes are easy to miss when your frame rate dips, so if Roblox stutters on your PC, run through Roblox FPS boost settings before you join.

How to start DONT SPLASH, in order

  1. 1Make sure it is the Bacon Theory experienceSearch DONT SPLASH and check that the creator line says Bacon Theory. It Hears The Water [DONT SPLASH], +1 DONT SPLASH and DONT SWIM are separate experiences by other creators, and Dont Spill the Water! is a party game about filling a cup. Favorite the right page so it stays one click away.
  2. 2Set up sound and frame rateWear headphones and set game audio loud enough to hear water moving. If the frame rate drops in busy pools, lower the Graphics Quality slider in Roblox settings so motion around your feet stays smooth.
  3. 3Bring friends and split the rolesA server holds up to 10 players. Before you start, decide who carries the rescue rope, who lights the flare and who handles pebbles or the toy, so two people are not carrying the same tool. A quick note in your Discord group chat saves arguing mid-run.
  4. 4Take the first run slowlyUse the first run to learn the rooms rather than to finish. Watch for spray at your feet and listen to the water as you move. The rope has its own Rope Reach upgrade, so its range is limited; staying close to your group keeps teammates within reach.
  5. 5Upgrade what matches your roleThe rope carrier gets the most out of Rope Reach and Rescue Speed, the flare carrier out of Flare Radius, and the thrower out of Pebble Skipping and Throwing Range. Each one tops out at level 3.
  6. 6Try the farm map and keep the footageThe October 31 farm map adds new stages and pumpkins to collect. New stages are where the loudest reactions happen, so keep your first trip through them on video from start to finish.

Check these before you join

  • The creator reads Bacon Theory and the page shows a recent update date.
  • Headphones are on and game sound is loud enough to hear the water.
  • If Roblox closes mid-run, work through Roblox crashing fixes before you rejoin.
  • The Fall Pack's double cash and self-revive run until November 14, and NEXT UPDATE! is set for November 7 at 3 p.m. GMT.
  • There is enough free disk space for a long evening of recordings.
The best DONT SPLASH clips are rarely the ones where somebody wins. They are the quiet seconds before the water moves and the shout that follows. Keep the run whole and cut it afterward, so you never have to guess when to start recording.

Keep every DONT SPLASH scare on video with DOR

DOR is a free Windows PC app that detects Roblox and starts recording the moment you join an experience. When you leave DONT SPLASH, recording stops and what you played lands in My Clips as video.

Game sound and your microphone are captured together on one track, so the held breath before a splash and your friends shouting when it finds you stay in sync with the picture. Recording defaults to 1080p at 30fps, and 720p or 60fps can be picked in settings.

Afterward, open My Clips, trim the scare or the rope rescue, and choose 16:9, 9:16 or 1:1.

To stitch scares from several runs into one video, open DOR Studio (dor.gg/studio), join the clips, add effect templates such as Shake Zoom, Punch Zoom and Handheld or a Glitch transition, then set text, background music and volume before exporting an mp4 or sharing a dor.gg link that plays right in a phone browser.

Older full session videos are cleared only once they pass the space set aside for full play videos (5GB by default), and your latest recordings and liked videos stay. The sharing steps are in how to share Roblox gameplay videos, and cropping a landscape run into a Short is covered in making a vertical 9:16 game video.

FAQ

FAQ

Is DONT SPLASH the same game as Dont Spill the Water?

No. DONT SPLASH is the Poolrooms horror experience from the Bacon Theory group. Dont Spill the Water! is a separate party game by Ascora Studios in which players take turns filling a cup. Several horror lookalikes also put DONT SPLASH in their names, so check the creator before you join.

How many players can be in a DONT SPLASH server?

Up to 10 per server, according to the experience settings on Roblox. That fits a full friend group, and with a reusable rescue rope and a Rescue Speed upgrade, the game rewards sticking together and pulling each other out.

Is DONT SPLASH scary, and when is the next update?

Roblox rates it Minimal, with occasional mild fear and violence, and the description simply calls the creature IT. As of November 3, the next official event is NEXT UPDATE! on November 7 at 3 p.m. GMT, with contents not yet announced. The Fall Pack's double cash and self-revive run until November 14.
