To get better at Delta Force, fix one thing at a time and review your own match to see whether it actually changed. As of October 2, 2026, the official sources I checked confirm a Tutorial, a Firing Range, Easy difficulty in Operations and a match history, but no in-game replay that lets you rewatch a whole match, so you need to record the match yourself. This guide covers the PC version only; if you are still choosing recording software, start with the Delta Force clipping software comparison.
The short answer
The conclusion is simple: choose a single thing to change per match, then check on video whether your choice differs the next time the same situation appears. Most official tools are only confirmed to exist, so on their own they cannot walk you back through your own decisions, and a full-match video fills that gap. This is a way to create something worth reviewing, not a promise about wins or rank. Before you play with a recorder running, check whether your PC has headroom in the Delta Force system requirements guide. Tool details here are as of October 2, 2026 and can change with updates.
The review loop in six steps
- 1Record the match — Keep DOR running and play as usual so the whole match is saved as video. You do not need to change how you play; you only need material to review later. If you notice stutter while recording, look into that before you start reviewing.
- 2Pick one match to review — Find a recent match in the match history, then choose a single match you lost or one with a fight that went badly. Watching several at once blurs what to fix, so take one match at a time.
- 3Answer three questions while watching — First, did you choose that fight or get pulled into it? Second, in Operations, when did you start thinking about extraction and how did your gear and time look then; in Warfare, where did your movement and any vehicle use drift away from your team? Third, were you heading the same way as your squad? Look at choices, not results.
- 4Choose one thing to fix — Turn the most repeated choice from your answers into one sentence: next match, I change only this. Write it in your usual notes app with the video time next to it.
- 5Repeat it in an official tool — Use the Firing Range for handling, Easy difficulty for map knowledge, or the Tutorial for basic systems, and repeat the same action. The Firing Range options are not documented, so open it and use only what the client actually offers.
- 6Check it in the next match — When the same situation appears in your next recorded match, check only whether your choice changed. Judge whether you made the choice you planned, not whether the match went well. Then move on to the next single fix.
Official practice and feedback tools: what is confirmed?
| Tool | What official sources confirm | Limits and best use |
|---|---|---|
| Tutorial | Official Steam patch notes list a system gameplay tutorial being added, and the Reorientation season preview lists improved PC tutorials. | Contents and length are not documented. Treat it as a place to learn basic controls and systems, not as a review of your own matches. |
| Firing Range | The June 28, 2026 patch notes mention a fix for visual issues in the Firing Range, which confirms it exists. An earlier note calls it a shooting range. | How to open it and which weapons, targets or options it has are not in the documents I could read. Open it in the client and check the options yourself. |
| Easy difficulty in Operations | Official posts refer to Easy, Normal and Hard difficulty, and a developer post describes Easy as room for new and returning Operators to learn a zone. | Available difficulties can differ by map. It helps you learn a map; it does not assess your fights. |
| Match history | The July 23, 2026 patch notes include a fix for killer information shown in match history, so a match record with kill information exists. | Retention period, number of matches kept and the fields shown are not documented. Use it as a list to find the match you want to review. |
| Match Ratings and Achievements | Patch notes show label-style entries earned by meeting a condition, for example a melee weapon label whose Operations condition was adjusted to eliminating 10 enemies. | They are achievement tags, not analysis. They do not tell you how you fought. |
| Spectator view | Patch notes mention spectator interface fixes, so a spectator view exists. | Who you can watch and when is not defined in the sources. It cannot be assumed to replace reviewing your own match from start to finish. |
| Your own match video (DOR full-match recording) | An in-game replay or match record that lets you rewatch or download a whole match was not confirmed in any official source as of October 2, 2026. Official announcements mention elimination replays in a 2025 update fix note, but the available modes and playback scope are not defined. | The whole match stays as an mp4 file you can rewatch at any moment. Deciding what to fix is still your job. |
Pre-review checklist
- Is there only one thing to fix this time?
- Are you looking at your choices rather than win or loss?
- Did you narrow the review to a single match?
- Did you write the video time and the fix in your notes?
- Did you open the Firing Range yourself and check its options?
- After a game update, did you recheck tool changes in the official announcements?
Saving your matches with DOR
DOR is a free Windows desktop app that automatically records a full Delta Force match and saves it as mp4. This game is not one of the titles with automatic highlight clips, so for the stretch you want to review you open the app library and set the start and end yourself, as explained in how to trim game clips. On an NVIDIA graphics card, NVENC hardware encoding is the default, and game sound and your microphone can be recorded together, so what you said during a fight stays in the video too. DOR does not take notes or analyze the match for you, so the judgment in the six steps is yours.
Official sources checked
Checked on October 2, 2026. Tool names and their existence were confirmed on the official pages below; no usage documentation was found. See the Delta Force Steam store page, the official Steam patch note that mentions the Firing Range and the official Steam announcement that mentions the Tutorial and Match Ratings. Easy difficulty and the match history appear in other announcements in the same official app news feed. Elimination replays are mentioned in the fix list of a 2025 update announcement, and a kill cam plan in a March 2025 FAQ announcement.
