If you have been watching Worlds this fall, you have probably noticed the Worlds 2026 pass sitting in your League client. Riot's Player Support page lists it as League of Legends Season 3: Worlds 2026, the second act of Season 3.
It went live on October 7 at 11:00 AM PT, and you can earn progress until January 5, 2027 at 11:59 PM PT, which is January 6 at 07:59 UTC (08:59 CET).
The tournament wraps up with the final at Barclays Center in Brooklyn on November 14, but the pass keeps going for roughly seven more weeks after that. This guide is based on that support page as checked on November 3, 2026.
It covers what the free track gives you without spending anything, how the three paid options differ, which of the 48 milestones are worth noticing, how BXP is earned, and a realistic plan for finishing before the deadline.
If you are unsure how Blue Essence and RP fit together once the rewards start landing, our guide on how to buy LoL champions with BE or RP makes the math easier.
Free track or paid pass: what each one gets you
The pass has a free track that everyone progresses and a paid track that unlocks when you buy a pass. On the free track alone you get Aphelios at milestone 6, Yone at 22 and Sett at 46 as permanent champions, plus 6,000 Blue Essence at milestones 3, 14 and 21, which adds up to 18,000.
Hextech Chests with keys and Champion Capsules show up several times as well, so if you are still building a champion pool, finishing the free track already leaves you with plenty. Riot also notes that every currency reward in this pass is doubled compared with previous acts.
There are three ways to pay. The Season 3: Worlds Pass at 1,650 RP simply unlocks the paid track. The Worlds Pass Bundle at 2,650 RP adds Sett, the Prestige Heartsteel Sett Vivid Chroma and the Popped Collar Emote.
The Worlds Premium Pass Bundle at 3,650 RP adds 10 pass levels, the Super Show Stopper Icon and 25 Mythic Essence on top of that.
The paid track itself holds two Peak Entertainment Mystery Skins at milestones 8 and 24, several Worlds 2026 Orbs, 3 Ancient Sparks, 50 Mythic Essence, two drops of 1,000 Orange Essence and the Prestige Heartsteel Sett Live My Life Border at milestone 48.
A simple way to decide: if champions and Blue Essence are what you are after, the free track covers it, and if you want skins and cosmetics, look at the paid track. Paid passes can be bought while objectives are live and for 24 hours after they close, and single pass levels cost 95 RP each.
How to reach milestone 48 before January 5
- 1Clear the daily objective every dayWin one League game or play two to earn 100 BXP. It can be completed once per day and resets daily, so even on a busy evening two games are enough. Over the roughly nine weeks left, that alone is worth more than 6,000 BXP.
- 2Finish the four weekly objectives that open on WednesdaysA new set of four objectives appears every Wednesday at 11:00 AM PT. Riot's page says the two random ones pay 300 BXP each and the two fixed ones pay 500 BXP each, so a full set is at least 1,600 BXP, and the page's own example shows a points objective worth 700 BXP. Each set stays open for three weeks, which means a missed week can be caught up later.
- 3Fill the Weekly Venture with any modeOne fixed objective, the Weekly Venture, asks for 8 matchmade games in any mode, TFT included. The other weekly objectives only count in standard League matches, so nights you spend on TFT with friends are best used to fill the Venture.
- 4Stack mastery objectives with your new championsReaching Mastery Milestone 4 on one champion gives 750 BXP once per act, and earning one and then two Bonus Milestones gives 500 BXP each. The objective to reach 10 Mastery Milestones across any champions comes in three parts, 1 of 3 to 3 of 3, worth 750, 500 and 500 BXP. Practicing the Aphelios or Yone you just unlocked turns straight into pass progress, and our guide on how to VOD review your LoL games shows how to learn from those practice games.
- 5Finish the honor objectives at honor level 3 or higherThere are two honor objectives, each needing 1,200 Honor points, and each pays 50 BXP plus a Hextech Chest and Key. Points only come from PvP matches: 1 per minute at honor level 3, 2 at level 4 and 10 at level 5, with nothing at levels 1 and 2. You work on one at a time, in order.

Before the pass closes, check these
- You cleared today's daily objective (one win or two games)
- You checked this week's four new weekly objectives and anything still open from the past two weeks
- You collected the once per act mastery rewards, such as Mastery Milestone 4 on one champion
- Your honor level is 3 or higher (levels 1 and 2 earn no Honor points)
- If you plan to buy a paid pass, you do it before the pass deactivates on January 6, 2027 at 11:59 PM PT
Let DOR record every game you play for the pass
Pass progress comes from playing, so you will probably queue up a lot of League between now and January. DOR is a free Windows app: leave it running, launch League of Legends, and it detects the game and records the whole match, saving it in My Clips in the app.
In League it also cuts highlight clips automatically for kills, multikills from double kill to pentakill, and objectives like dragons and Baron, so a pentakill you land while grinding weekly objectives is saved without pressing anything. Our pentakill clip guide shows how that works.
It is also an easy way to rewatch your first games on the Aphelios, Yone or Sett you unlocked, or on a new skin from a Mystery Skin. Trim a 9:16 vertical cut in the app or send a dor.gg link, and your friends can play it right away in a phone browser. The steps are in how to share League gameplay with friends, and everything about recording League with DOR is on the League of Legends page.
