DayZ recording causes lag or FPS drops
DOR uses low-overhead background capture, so the impact is minimal. If it still struggles, switch to 720p/30fps mode in settings.

Will a recorder get my DayZ account banned?

The whole session from launch to exit is recorded as one video, and recording stops automatically below 20GB of free disk space.

Do I need to restart recording when I switch servers?
No. DOR detects the game when it runs and keeps recording across server changes.
