Overwatch recording troubleshooting
Overwatch recording causes lag or FPS drops
DOR uses GPU hardware encoding for low-overhead capture, so the impact is small. If it still struggles, switch to 720p/30fps mode in settings.
Overwatch records as a black screen in fullscreen
DOR captures fullscreen, windowed and borderless modes alike, and switches to monitor capture on games that block game capture, so you don't get a black screen.
Will a recorder get my Overwatch account banned?
DOR has no cheat features and never modifies game files or your gameplay data, it only captures video. Where anti-cheat blocks the capture hook, DOR switches to monitor capture to record your Overwatch session.

Where do Overwatch clips get saved?
With DOR running, kills and deaths are saved as clips in the DOR library on their own, alongside the full match recording on your PC.
Can I record an Overwatch replay?
Yes. Play a replay from your Career Profile and DOR records the screen as it runs, including free camera angles you set up.
Do Overwatch replay codes expire?
Replays usually stop working after a major patch. Recording the match with DOR keeps a video copy that has nothing to do with the code.
Is there a record button I need to press?
No. Recording starts when the game opens and kill and death clips save themselves, so your hands stay on your abilities.
Is DOR safe to run in Competitive?
DOR never touches game files or memory, it only captures video and audio. It has no cheat features of any kind.
I missed my POTG, can I get it back?
Matches record automatically and AI saves highlights, so POTG-worthy plays can be recovered.

No time or count limits. Auto-manage is on by default, so once your storage limit (30GB by default) fills up, the oldest recordings you have not liked are cleared first.
