Limbus Company records automatically once DOR is installed: launch the game on PC and the AI handles recording. There is no record button to press. From the moment Dante's clock starts ticking until you close the game, the bus story scenes, every clash and whole Mirror Dungeon runs end up in one video. This guide is for Managers recording Limbus for the first time and covers, in order, installing DOR, checking the recording, saving clash wins and E.G.O animations, finding them later, making a highlight reel and sharing it. Even a Mirror Dungeon that takes the better part of an hour stays in one piece from the first floor to the boss, which makes it easy to review how your team played.
- Keep a full Mirror Dungeon run on video, from the first floor to the final boss, so you can review your team.
- Save an all heads clash win or an E.G.O manifestation as a clip on the spot.
- Use AI Voice Notes to find things you said, like 'do I pop Ryoshu's E.G.O now', and jump to that turn.
- Combine a comeback from low sanity and a story climax cutscene into a 9:16 short.
Before you record Limbus Company: install and recording mode
Limbus Company is fairly light on hardware, so running a recorder next to it needs almost no preparation. DOR is a free Windows app and never adds a watermark, so the artwork in E.G.O animations stays fully visible. Limbus uses full session recording: if you read a story chapter, head into a Mirror Dungeon and come back to the lobby, it is all one video until you close the game. If you play on a laptop or an older PC, also read recording games on a low end PC. The table below lists what is worth knowing before your first Limbus recording.
| Item | For Limbus Company | Notes |
|---|---|---|
| Install | DOR, free Windows app | No watermark, so E.G.O animations stay clean |
| Game version | Windows PC version on Steam | DOR records Limbus Company running on your PC |
| Recording mode | Full session recording | One video from launch to exit, unbroken as you move between story and Mirror Dungeon |
| Display mode | Fullscreen, windowed and borderless all record | Windowed Limbus with a team planner open beside it still records |
| Resolution and frame rate | 1080p at 30fps by default | 60fps for smoother clash animations, or the lighter 720p/30fps mode |
| Storage | About 30MB for a 30 second 1080p clip | Leave extra drive space on days you run several Mirror Dungeons |
Record Limbus Company with DOR: step by step
- 1Install DORDownload and install DOR. It takes about a minute and is free. Leave DOR running afterwards, and there is nothing to set up each time you open Limbus.
- 2Launch Limbus CompanyStart Limbus Company from Steam. As soon as DOR detects the game, recording begins, so everything from passing the title screen and stepping onto the bus is captured.
- 3Check that recording is runningBefore your first fight, glance at the DOR app once to confirm the recording. If nothing starts, follow what to do when the recorder does not detect your game. After that, focus on which Sinner takes which clash and your skill order.
- 4Clip right after the clash animationPress the clip save shortcut right after your coins come up heads in a row and you win the clash, or right after an E.G.O manifestation finishes. The last 30 seconds are saved as a clip, so you never have to hunt for that animation inside a long turn based fight.
- 5Quit and open My ClipsWhen you finish your Mirror Dungeon, close Limbus. The full session and every clip you saved appear together in My Clips in the DOR app. Runs you cleared and runs that fell apart at a mid boss are filed the same way.
Find your recordings
Your recordings live in My Clips in the DOR app, also called the library. Each time you open and close Limbus becomes one session, and clash moments saved with the shortcut appear as separate clips underneath. To find a particular fight inside a long session, use the floor transition screens in a Mirror Dungeon and the boss entry animation as landmarks. For story scenes, look for the stretch where a chapter title appears. Set a start and an end point to trim what you need, then export it as 16:9, 9:16 or 1:1. The full steps are in how to trim game clips. Like the videos you want to keep, such as your first Mirror Dungeon clear. When space fills up, older videos you have not liked are cleared first, so that run stays.
Save the moments you want to keep
Turn based fights run long, so clipping the animations you want to rewatch right when they happen makes them far easier to find. Press the clip save shortcut and the last stretch of gameplay is saved as a clip. The default length is 30 seconds, and you can pick 15, 30, 45 or 60 seconds in settings. In Limbus, good times to press it are right after an all heads clash win, right after an E.G.O manifestation ends, right after you turn a fight around from low sanity, and right after the Mirror Dungeon final boss goes down. E.G.O animations take a while, so 45 or 60 seconds catches the turn before it, while a single clash only needs 15. See saving the last few seconds instantly for which length fits which moment.
Find what was said with AI Voice Notes
Even in a solo game, you say more while playing than you might think. Lines like 'win this clash and sanity goes up', 'do I pop Ryoshu's E.G.O now' and 'just one more heads please', or team talk with a friend over Discord, all count. DOR records game audio and your mic together, and AI Voice Notes writes what you said onto the recording timeline as text. When you want to check which Sinner you sent into which clash on which turn, find the Sinner's name in the timeline text and select it to jump straight to that turn. Your spoken notes turn into a strategy log. If your mic sounds quiet, check your input device in recording games with mic audio.
Build a montage with AI Highlight
After a Mirror Dungeon run, turn your saved clips into a highlight reel. In the library, check the all heads clash win, the E.G.O manifestation, the comeback from low sanity, the Mirror Dungeon final boss and the flawless clear with no Sinner down, then select AI Highlight. DOR joins them into one montage, and a long turn based run becomes a short video of nothing but the best animations. To set the order yourself, see how to merge game clips.
Edit in DOR Studio
DOR Studio opens in your browser with nothing to install. Trim down to the clash animations and a turn that took minutes becomes a few seconds of highlight. Add Sinner names as text and lay music underneath. A punch zoom when the coin flips to heads and a shake zoom right before an E.G.O manifestation make the animation hit harder. For framing tips when you build a 9:16 short, read recording games for vertical Shorts. Download the result as an mp4 or share it as a link straight away.
Share with a dor.gg link
Send trimmed moments as dor.gg links. Whoever opens one plays it in the browser without installing anything, so one link shows your Discord server the clash that just popped off. With no watermark, E.G.O animations reach YouTube or TikTok with the artwork fully intact. Tips on cutting only the animation segments out of turn based fights are in sharing Limbus Company clash videos.
Limbus Company recommended settings and troubleshooting
Limbus Company is fairly light, so the default 1080p at 30fps already captures Sinner art and skill animations sharply. If you want coins flipping in a clash to look smoother, switch to 60fps. If you play for long stretches on a laptop, the 720p/30fps mode keeps the load low. Fullscreen, windowed and borderless windows all record, so keep the game's display settings as they are. DOR uses GPU hardware encoding, so its effect on your frame rate is small. Days of back to back Mirror Dungeons make for long sessions, so see recording long gameplay without stutter. DOR has no cheat features and never touches your game files or play data.
| Symptom | What to check | Fix |
|---|---|---|
| Music or skill sounds are missing | Your Windows output device and DOR audio settings | Confirm which device the game plays through, then work through [fixing game recordings with no sound](game-recording-no-sound-fix). |
| The recording is a black screen | The game's display mode and the capture method | Try borderless, or follow [fixing fullscreen recording](fullscreen-recording-not-working) to switch to monitor capture. |
| Combat animations look choppy | Recording resolution and frame rate | GPU hardware encoding keeps the impact small, but if your PC still struggles, drop to 720p/30fps mode. |
| Worried a recorder could affect your account | How DOR works | DOR only captures the screen, has no cheat features and does not modify game files or play data. |
